Ep15 Discovering the Deep Purpose of Our Lives

Today in Ep15 of Concentric, Gary De Rodriguez and Jason Croft are talking about purpose. This is a nice, big, broad topic for sure.

There are so many layers to this and the one we really dig into today is that internal purpose.

So many of us focus on "What is my big purpose in life?"  "What should I be doing with my career or as a parent or a spouse?"

Defining those types of powerful external purposes can be beneficial.  The category of, "I'm going for this.  Everyone, get on board.  Let's go."

Another point of view on purpose is that if you're alive, you're on purpose. I think that's powerful, as well.

What Gary really takes us through is this internal purpose and how to take ourselves from whom we start out as when we come into this world to who we are when we leave it. And it's a really powerful, insightful conversation around that.

Understanding Your Ultimate Purpose

Everyone brings so much to a term like purpose.

People want to find their purpose. And when they think they find it, people become manic about it, which could be a good thing.

I've watched people decide on a purpose in life and are determined to do anything. They can literally move mountains when they have that purpose behind them.

When you do things on purpose, your spectrum is just enormous.

There are so many directions that could go on. But the first thing you need to understand is the concept of purpose.

What is the definition of purpose?

People can have different contexts of purpose. One is what we're doing for a career or contribution to society.

If you have children, they can be designated as your purpose.

But a deeper level of purpose can serve as the fuel for all the other actualization of goals that you can do. And that is the purpose of the intrinsic lesson in your personality, and your soul may have not reached that yet.

What moment made you wake up and actually realize another version of yourself? If you choose to see the world in a more aligned manner, you will have a better experience in life. You can navigate through life's ups and downs and disappointments much more eloquently.

The thoughts you think and what you can conclude have an absolute impact on your body, giving you the motivation to fulfill your physical purpose.

It could be your career purpose or your contribution purpose.

If you don't fulfill the internal, emotional, spiritual, and mental purpose, you can't fulfill your physical purpose because you will not have the emotional drive to do it.

We’re all here to co-create

You're here to understand that you are literally co-creating your reality, and you can create it any way you want it to be.

If it's going to be suffering, no one's going to come along and say, I'm going to save you from that suffering. The bottom line is that you cannot move forward and create a life you want to live if you don't take accountability for your ultimate purpose.

We're all here to create a life and bring that success to others. A life based on our full actualization means that we have to get to peace with everyone else.

You can't be hating on people because you hate the very strands of their DNA. That comprises who you are, which can't be good for your body.

You have to get to this place of not just forgiveness but a celebration of the lessons and gifts you learned from others, including your family.

This is such an important thing. A lot of people are wounded because of their family systems.

If you think of it, this is what it's supposed to be. Because if we don't get wounded, we won't seek. If we don't seek, we won't find. And if we don't find, we won't learn, and we won't evolve.

You are here to evolve spiritually to be the highest expression of yourself, and our families are a big part of that journey.

I can't tell you how many clients I've seen through the years where all of their pain is based upon what they didn't get as children. And rather than learn from it, they feed themselves negative thoughts. They stay in the victim position, and that is where their life gets wasted.

So when you look at purpose in my experience, it usually starts with our mothers and fathers. Find out what they couldn't do.

My own mother could nationalize herself because of the intense amount of fear that she lived in. I'm not the most courageous guy on the planet. But what I do for myself is I do a little meditation, and I tell myself that there's someone out there that needs to hear what I have to say.

It may not be everybody, but I know many people will benefit from them. And so, I'm going out there not in a state of personal significance or making sales. I'm going to go out there to help as many people as possible.

That is my purpose, and that's why I'm here.

I don't necessarily love every experience, but I know I can do it with the right mindset.

If I do it from the wrong frame of mind, there's no possible way to do it.

To fulfill that purpose, you need to do the inner work first.

You have to find the purpose of your inner self. When you find it, your physical purpose begins to manifest towards you. Because of this, you are now more capable of doing and can accomplish anything.

The sooner you have this kind of conversation with your kids, that's the evolution that I hope for our entire species.

That conscious evolution to become normal and hopefully, everyone will do the same thing.
